MoE: We Can Think Progressively But We Must Act Pragmatically
If we are going to bring a different position to CCME it has got to be a positive, constructive position that has as its objective new, better solutions. Status quo situation cannot prevail. We will need to make some investment — significant costs are inevitable because we are retrofitting an existing system, not just building a new one.
So what is an effective option? We need some work to see if something better is on the near-term horizon. The committee currently doesn’t have answers to that question.
If something new is not practical, then we cannot argue against investment in conventional secondary treatment.
