Steering a Much-Needed Course Correction for Ocean Management
Dr. Agardy was Lead Author for the coastal section of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment and Senior Director for the Global Marine Program at Conservation International and, before that, Senior Scientist for WWF. She is an internationally renowned expert in marine biodiversity conservation. In this presentation she will provide a lively discussion on the state of coastal and oceanic ecosystems, based on her extensive global experience, and discuss potential solutions such as MPA networks, ocean zoning, and the development of ecosystem services markets.
